What is the BeAlert Caribbean Emergency Network?

The BeAlert Caribbean Emergency Network offers all Caribbean Citizens and Residents free access to a 24/7 hotline for medical emergencies and health related inquiries, connecting you with appropriate care and resources. Our team can help to guide you to the right medical facilities, assist with air ambulance arrangements, and provides support during natural disasters.

Note: This network access does NOT include the BeAlert app.

How do I reach the 24-hour assistance hotline?

Once you sign up for the free BeAlert Caribbean Emergency Network, you can call our 24-hour assistance hotline at +1-242-323-1162 or toll free at 1-242-300-EVAC at any time!

Do you get access to the BeAlert app with the BeAlert Caribbean Emergency Network?

No, you do not.

To gain access to our newly launched innovative BeAlert App you must first download the app from Google Play Store or the Apple App Store and complete your registration and payment listed in the steps below:

 

  1. Download the BeAlert App from your iOS or Android store.
  2. Visit https://www.bahamasevac.com/bealert-access/  to complete your registration and payment to get full access to the benefits of the BeAlert App.

Do I get an air ambulance flight when I sign up for the BeAlert Caribbean Emergency Network?

No, air ambulance flights are not included in the Caribbean Emergency Network.

If you need to be transported via air ambulance we will assist in coordinating the logistics and organize the flight through BahamasEvac for you. Alternatively, we will connect you with another air ambulance provider if we are not available. However, you will be responsible for covering the full cost of the flight.

BahamasEvac has several options for air ambulance memberships that include a certain amount of medivac flights per year.

Our BeAlert Sky memberships come in Basic, Gold and Platinum with the option to cover just one person or the entire family. In the event you need an air ambulance, your BeAlert Sky membership covers between 2 to 4 flights per year depending on the membership you choose*.

Why do you need my documents when I sign up for the BeAlert Caribbean Emergency Network?

The Caribbean Emergency Network is the first step in getting you the medical care you need as fast as possible.

When we have your documents on file it helps to expedite the process of coordinating care should an unexpected accident or illness occur. This helps to reduce wait times by reducing time spent on administrative tasks and makes for a more efficient and quicker response time.

Your documents are securely stored and will only be accessed to coordinate with medical professionals on your behalf during a medical emergency.

Is my personal information kept private when I upload it?

Yes, your information is kept private in our system and only accessed by our team should you need emergency medical assistance.

Which countries in the Caribbean are eligible to sign up for free for the BeAlert Caribbean Emergency Network?

If I don’t have medical insurance, can I still sign up for the BeAlert Vacation Program?

Of course! We always suggest signing up for a travel medical insurance plan prior to going on vacation, however you are more than welcome to sign up for BeAlert Vacation with or without medical insurance coverage.

Does the program cover minors?

Yes – our BeAlert Vacation memberships cover people of all ages.

What happens if I don’t have an emergency?

Whether you are facing a medical emergency or a non-urgent medical situation, you can feel free to contact our 24-hour assistance hotline at any time.

Is there a fee for the BeAlert Caribbean Emergency Network?

No, the Caribbean Emergency Network is free to all Caribbean citizens and permanent residents.

Any medical services, EMS, ground or air ambulance needed are not included.
